I have a WD Caviar 30 Gb 7200 rev with a normal controller (on the motherboard) I want to install an Ultra ata 100 controller.
Someone is saying I will have problems because the disk has been formatted already (as ide) and the first time formattingis the one that counts.
This sound odd to me but I do not want to buy something I will not be able to use
Can You help?
