We have migrated from Imail to Exchange 2000 and I have about 80 people that were forwarding all their emails to their ISP account such as xxx@aol.com or xxx@yahoo.com. Previously the forwarding was defined on the server in their account profile.
How do I accomplish the same thing in Exchange 2000 on the server side? I don’t really want to make a rule in Outlook, because I believe that the person would still need to bring up Outlook and hit the server before the rule would kick in and forward the emails. I need it to be active and working on the server all the time for those that never even use Outlook and only check emails at their ISP.
I would assume this is pretty common requirement but I don’t see how to do it. I can forward toother accounts within Exchange, but not to an outside Internet email address. Can anyone explain (in reasonalble detail) how to do this? Thanks!!!
