Found new hardware

I have installed on different workstation, both an oki printer and an HP printer that use the laserjet software drivers. One station is Win98 the other W2k Pro. Everything works fine, however, everytime I booy up, the systems find the hardware even though its installed, I simpkly canel can everything continies along fine. However it does slow done the start up process. How do I fix this?
