I agree with answer 2 from pctech, Free always has strings attached.

Hi
This is a word of warning. "free" usually has a price attached to it. Yahoo software is laced with spyware and I am certain you will have to "sign up" with Yahoo for this "free" service. The cost? Your personal information being sold to third parties, your system being loaded with spyware, and decreased system performance due to the spyware. Instead of "free", I would look for cheap. Start by checking with your local providers and see what they offer. I have high speed access, but I also have a local dial up provider that I pay $10.95/month to. With this I get 300 megs. of space on their servers and unlimited email accounts. I can FTP to the site and currently have a personal website there. $10.95/month for 300 megs. of online server space is cheap and I have a backup ISP in the deal! I suggest looking for cheap, as opposed to "free".

I hope this helps.

Also, most free ones don't let you link to your stuff from other servers, like to display the graphics as part of a sig line or some such.

I get 750 MB of space for $10 a month at http://www.webmasters.com/

Why do you think a company would spend thousands of dollars to install servers and drive clusters just to give the space away.

Their objective is to use your personal information in anyway they can to make money.

Mass marketing will pay bucks for names, addresses, email addresses, ect.

You can find online storage for modest fees. Apple, Yahoo, angelfire.

Disk size will be small and they will limit the transfer amount.

Good Luck Lee
