FreeCell display problems

By seskds ·
After rebuilding a few PC's lately, I heard
from the users that FreeCell was not displaying properly. These systems have
Windows98 SE (Upgrade CD) installed and
a Matrox MGA Mystique (PCI - 2MB) video
card. When FreeCell loads the initial screen
looks okay but as soon as you start a new
game that all changes. The cards are not
recognizable and seem compressed, or badly
distorted whichever way you look at it.
I have tried different drivers and resolution
settings but to no avail.

Click on open space and select Properties and select to change the color and screen area settings

Already tried adding/removing via Wdws
setup tab, and have tried a wide range
of color and resolution settings but
still the problem persists.

Have you tried to take a good copy of the cards.dll and put it on the pc.

Turned out to be McAfee's Vshield program. They just released Service Pack 1 for version 4.5.1 which corrects this problem. Freecell now runs just fine.
