the only connection I have here is dialup. I won’t pay what they want for DSL or cable when I’m only here a minute fraction of the year.

They finally finished the repairs to our house here. What a nightmare – in more ways than one. I can’t even count the necks I’d like to wring. 3 rooms now need to get put back together, and the plaster dust is every freaking where. Gonna be busy here this summer, I guess. After it’s back in shape, I hope I don’t see it again for a long, long, time. And I like Hot Springs, usually. 😀

Long Road Out of Eden is the new Egales CD, a double CD and well worth the price of admission.

Looked around a bit and found some short clips from the album, oh well.

Best just to pick it up and play it, you do not have to stop or skip any lousy songs except for “I Love To Watch A Woman Dance”, I do not care for that one.

Overall a great collection of new Eagles.

I started lissnin’ to Hiatt in ’79. Tremendously underappreciated. He ‘s one of the best live acts I’ve ever seen. He’s enthusiastic about playing live and a great songwriter.

I listen to a lot of different types of music but always seem to come back to Hiatt.

I have to admit, though, at first listen, I had reservations about the latest album. But now that I’ve listened to it several times, I like it all.

Why should I listen to a bad cover of a song I wasn’t particularly fond of in the first place? That applies for every song but one in this branch; that cover wasn’t too bad, but listening to the vocals made my throat hurt.

Hell, if my son had MTV on when any of the first three videos came on, all he did was turn the volume down so he could watch the t|ts shake undistracted! I always thought that was a pretty good idea…
