From Corporate IT to Healthcare IT

I am interested in hearing about the experience of anyone who worked in a corporate environment (i.e. financial, merchandising, etc...) as an IT Manager and changed to the healthcare industry (i.e. hospital, clinic) as an IT Manager. What were the major differences? What was similar?

I've gone from Information Security in local government to the same (relative) position in Healthcare.

I'm in the UK, though.

...and I prefer HealthCare. I felt at least what I was contributing too was helping people. Maybe something I did, such as give physicians access to Wireless Patient data, could speed recovery or help someone. Where as corporate IT is all about bottom line. It's kind of comical actually. When a system went down in healthcare, it really seemed urgent. Now it's a salesman not getting his wireless dingleberry [sorry Blackberry] messages, which seems so trivial...
