From NT to AD at client

By LabRaT ·
I built a parallel Server 2003 domain rather than migrate some old issues within our NT domain. I'have built AD accts from foundation. All clients are current XP Pro OS platform. Now I'm ready for the users to login. I thought the client side would be as simple as just pointing the login to the new domain (user names and passwords are same in both domains).

If you know what that does, you know my question. The local machine sets up a new user acct with all new desktop and personal settings. I want to keep each users "highly personal" individual desktop crap to be in the new local login acct. I can't seem to find the right set of key words to search for this. Can somebody point out some keywords or links for this?

you could use the ADMT to migrate the user accounts from the NT domain.
