FrontPage 98 Server Extensions Not Appea

By LexOrABenz ·
I try to work with FrontPage Server Extensions in IIS 4.0, but when I right click on our website, I cannot select Tasks. I try to Add/Remove Snap-Ins from the Console menu, but Server Extensions are not there to add. There is an extension for the mail/SMTP service, but it says it is enabled. I am trying to get this form to send the requests to one of our user's mailbox in Exchange Server 5.5. I have installed the Server Extensions from the FrontPage 98 CD and then went to the FrontPage Server Administrator program and installed the extensions on the IIS from there, but I still cannot work with the server extensions within IIS. Any help please...what am I doing wrong!!

FrontPage 98 Server Extensions Not Appea

It could be that you've missed a cruical step in the installation process... Here it is:
1. Install Windows NT 4

2. Install Windows NT Service Pack 2 (without active desktop)

3. Install Windows NT 4 Option Pack (This has IIS4)

4. APPLY thelatest service pack... Get the latest service packs from http://www.microsoft.com/ntserver/nts/downloads/default.asp

5. Install MDAC 2.1 SP2.

6. Install the Frontpage 2000 Extensions (You can get them from http://msdn.microsoft.com/workshop/c-frame.htm#/workshop/languages/fp/default.asp)

I think thats it... You can view this installation procedure at:
