frustrated to the point of postal

I have a TSST CORP CD/DVDW TS-L532A drive that started to just not play a dvd, now the drive will not read data disc and the driver in hardware mngr says the driver is corrupt or missing and the rolback is not happining either. SO should i use this thing as a projectile i the newest laptop cannon or is there a blessed soul that could keep the death worm from envadeing the world? PLEASE HELP
