I have been a systems admin for about 1 year now… Overall I have 20 years experience working with computers in general. I have a domain here at the office running Windows Server Standard 2003 with MS exchange. I have a T1 connection with a Netgear ProSafe VPN/ Firewall 50 Router to a Dell Server. Aproximatlly 50 users or so as well… My question : I want to set-up an inhouse FTP server on a seperate machine. How do I go about setting this up, and how do I make this a very secure FTP server? Do I run the FTP machine straight from the Netgear router, or should I split the T1 connection and run it straight to the new FTP server? And what kind of software should I use for FTP? Lots of questions here, but hopefully someone can help me out with this… Thank you all in advance..
