FTP Site access

By dilligaffer ·
I currently have an FTP site setup for our company. Almost all accounts in AD are able to access the site except for one. I've checked the permissions on the FTP Root and it's set to Everyone - I can't figure out why this one AD Account can't get to the site. There isn't anything different about this particular account. Any suggestions on what to look for?

Are you using a third party FTP service. I have found in the past that the FTP service supplied with Win 2K and XP can prevent either of them working.

If you access admin tools - services. In the list you will have ftp publishing. If you are not using the windows ftp service, disable this service, restart the machine and try again.

I am using Win 2000 FTP service. So I have the service running. The issue is I just have this one AD Account or end-user that cannot authenticate - there isn't anything different on his account from the others that are working. I also made sure the security on the FTP root dir are set correctly.
