ftproot versus wwwroot

by jabulani . Updated 25 years, 3 months ago

I am currently reading IIS4 but it is not clear to me the distinction between the wwwroot and the ftproot. Do these two locations contain different files? If so why?

I thought FTP allowed files to be loaded on the server so they could be available via http/www. So you would ftp your web site files to the wwwroot folder, what would you put in the ftproot folder?

It’s just something I am missing I’m sure it’s all very simple.
