I work with a Legacy App that basically involves telnet to a SCO box and using a simulated (Like older DOS) GUI to admin an app.
The session requires that I send the F6 function key to save changes. After making my changes and hitting the save button (F6) nothing happens but a “7~” with out the quotes of course.
I then noticed that in a regular and Administrative Command Prompt in Vista the F6 key was modified to perform the “Place an End-of-File Character (^Z) at the current position of command line” function.
My question is, is there a way to disable this functionality lik ein XP, or possibly re-map it to another key?
Also not to confuse the issue But I utilize a keystroke recorder (Ez Macros) to help with alot of the repetitive keystrokes. This seems to no longer acknowledge my hotkeys (Ctrl-F1 or Ctrl-4 for example) this is not inside of the command prompt mind you. It simply does nothing.
Any help anyone could give would be greatly appreciated.
