Function to total repair cost

by dennisbv . Updated 25 years ago

I have a Access database with work orders in it and I need to run a report or query that will total up repaires based on a specific category. The category are Abuse, Tires, and Lights. I can do the query and separate the categorys but I wiil have some trucks with more than one entry(if they had more than one servicing during the time frame of the query). I need to be able to have a function that will give me the total for all of the repairs for the category. Example if truck 1234 was serviced three times for tires I need to have the total for all three repairs so I can. Then end goal is to produce a report that will list the trucks information(Serial, model, make etc..)and a total of that trucks abuse repairs, tires,Lights .
