Functional Specifications – Collaboration Tools

Hello,

I am working on a large web based project that requires me to create a functional specification for Collaboration tools. I have the template etc all ready to go as it has been used for other areas in this project.

My problem is that Collaboration tools (ie Web 2.0) are stil quite new and functional specs are not easy to come by.

If anyone has recently been through this process I would be interested in hearing from you and if I can stretch the friendship a little more, I would like to see what specs others have used.
