Games won't run in XP Pro user accounts

By MrWreckit ·
I look after several XP Pro computers. Some of the users want games installed (not business computers). I hav eput several games on (Harry Potter, Age of Empires, Max Payne...) which run fine on the administrator account but will not run in the user accounts.
Why?
The issue is not whether the games should be there or not, just why they will not run.
Thanks

There are MANY games like that. The users will have to have full access rights to the directory (folder) where the game is installed. This usually solves the problem.

If that doesn't work, then you will have to check with the games manufacturer to see what other files the users need access to.

Have the person log on and then install the game by right clicking on the setup icon and telling it to run as Administrator.

If you allow users to install software, have them install the games. The administrator can allways execute them with a direct access to the .exe

I cannot give you any solution since im experiencing the same problems, even after making the user part of local administrators...which of course is not my idea of a good solvation!
So, im very interesting in any good solutions as well :)
