Games in windows 10

So I just got a whole ton of games (GTA V, NFS Payback, AC Origins etc.) from one of my good friends and I installed and ran them on my laptop but none of them worked. They all showed a common error message, with the code 0xc000007b

I do believe it has something to with Direct X or visual c++ but I tried reinstalling them several times, nothing worked. I once messed with the d3d compiler files in windows folder, which i believe caused this, how can i fix it without reinstalling windows?

Most of the old games have compatibility issue with the latest window. Run them with the windows default "Program Compatibility" program. Before that you should know when was this game created and for what window so that you can choose the right option in Compatibility software.
