Gates scopes out the Business Landscape

by dawgit . Updated 20 years, 4 months ago

I just finished reading an asticle from C-Net News.Com by Ina Fried (see: http://news.com.com/Gates+scopes+out+the+business+landscape/2008-1016_3-6054549.htm )
It is a very good, and well written piece, I have no beef about that. But, have I been missing something all this time? Funny I thought that MicroSoft had always been in the business business. After all it is what built the Company in the first place. Before the consumer market claimed a shared in the market place. And I be willing to venture that business is still the bigest share of the market, in spite of all the marketing hype. Somehow either Mr. Gates or I must have miss-read the books. There is one thing that really got me too. MrGates:”…and so we’re sort of their IT department in terms of updating.” Did he really that? I mean, I think I know what he meant, but, in the light of MicroSofts standing, it just doesn’t sound good. Anyone else have a thought on that? -d
