Gateway E4000, how big of a hard drive can it take?

by jdclyde . Updated 17 years, 2 months ago

Greetings all.

Got a Gateway E4000 running WinXPpro, and have been looking for the specs on it to see how large of a drive I can add to this system as a slave drive.

Will it have the 200 gig cap, or can it access a 500 gig drive?

New camera system running, and need a separate drive to save the video to. (Figuring about 2 gigs of data a day.)

I searched the web, and the Gateway (useless) site, but couldn’t find anything that would help.

Of course, I already chased my tail this morning with the IDE vs ATA naming convention…. ~sigh~

And no, Col, this isn’t a Novell question either… :p

Thanks all!

jd
