I own a small repair shop and we have run into a problem which I believe may be part of a much larger issue that could possibly be a sleeper issue for many. This is the second new machine with Vista that we have seen which has a bad image on the Hard Drive Image Partition. Some will remember the HP “Tatoo” problem from some years ago, where you could not image some HP computers because they had a image problem. Nothing was ever done and by the time the majority of end users discovered this issue, it was out of warranty and would cost big bucks to have the machine “tatooed”. I would like to suggest that people test the image on their new machines as soon as they open the box. If I’m right, there could be a real problem!
