Ive got a few questions… I have a Gateway GT4022, and it is giving me some power on problems… First of all this problem is random so it doesnt happen all of the time, but about 70 percent of the time. Computer is plugged in and as soon as it is plugged in PC tries to boot up, nothhing happens… Fans are turning, monitor doesnt come on, blue power light doesnt come on just the little orange led below that flashes. You hear it try to boot up but nothing comes on screen… Called gateway they told me to reseat my RAM and clean the ram slots and disconnect all hardware and plug all back in… Did that and still had the same problem. Note: when holding in power button pc seems to shut down ie.. fans turn off ect like its supposed to… So after last night i was frustrated and i unplugged the power cord from the wall… This morning i wake up and plug the power cord back in and the blue power button led comes on and pc boots up normally… What the heck!!! But I know as soon as i turn it off it probably wont boot up again… Is there a problem with the power switch that could cause it to do this? Please help me!!!
