general word scripting

By Keelhan ·
I am not a programmer. I just have been asked to write a macro in word 2000/2002 that would open all files on specified folder on the server and print them all out. that would be triggered by somebidy opening a specific document and printing it in the background from a main application.
IS it even possbile? Please give me a pointer to good resource and training materials.

There is a language called as VB Applications. You can learn it from microsoft site and various other online training sites.
You need to install the vb applications optionally when you are installing microsoft office packages to create such applications.
However the current standing on this by microsoft and other organizations needs to be ascertained as there is a potential for negative use.

Yes, you can write a macro in word 2000/2002 that would open all files on specified folder on the serve and print them all out. Or you can learn to write Visual Basic 6 programming language, but it is more difficult to learn than macro.

You can learn them by some internet site, or other IT firm.

You are able to learn them very quickly.
