Generic Host for Win32 Services

A few minutes after startup I encounter a pop-up which says “Generic Host for Win32 Services” and when I close this my sound card stops responding and none of my media players work…It also says that it has encounterd a software exception…Please help….it disturbs me very much when I do some important work on the computer
