get data from excel into html

hi
i have a req. in which i need to implement an import functionality where i need to import data from an .xls file into html file using javascript, is it possible? if yes can anyone help me in proceeding further.

Why don't use just export the data directly from Excel to html? File, Save As.

Rather nice of Microsoft to have put that right in there for you...

aww col, that doesn't work if you are using the file and want to html to show current data.

probably be easier to create a report linked to the exel file, then have the report being displayed dynamic on the site.
( crystal reports should handle it )
