get the rest of the video

recorded 1.2 gigs of video, then accidentally recorded 2 seconds in same file name
the file size still show 1.2 gigs but only plays the 2 seconds. how can i get the rest of the video. it’s an avi file.

How did you record the video (mechanism)?
What media did you record the video to (HD or optical disc)?
Where is the file being viewed from now?

What operating system are you running with?
What file format (FAT32 or NTFS)?
How many files exist with same name?
Any possibility of a second file with numerical appendix?
What are you using to view the AVI?
