Monitor

Do you have power on your monitor? Do you use an amplifier to hook up to output devices (such as projectors)?

Sounds like a dead

by toms45 In reply to Monitor

monitor. Any lights on it? Green or yellow? If yellow, the monitor is not getting any signal. Start by checking the obvious again, power cord, connection at video card and monitor. If that doesn't do it, try another monitor on the PC. If it's still dead, you have a video card problem.
Good luck...

have you tried?.........

by carlosarce In reply to getting a black screen

have yu tried pressing "F8" while booting, then enable vga mode or safe mode. this also happened to me once when i bought a new monitor and it didn't match my video config automatically. try also adjusting your video frequency, maybe it was set on a higher frequency.

let me know, what happened mext please.

Thanks,
Carlos
