Just thought I would gather some information from you all. I am in the process of changing career paths right now. I have been involved the past 3 years with physical security and a little bit of IT security/troubleshooting. I have a bachelor’s degree in Marketing with a Computer Science minor. I would say I am not an idiot when it comes to IT related things, but at the same time I am no way near what it would take to Manage a full on IT Security team.
I am looking at going back to school and getting perhaps an MBA with a focus on IT security. So my first question would be, what online schools do you all, IT professionals, find the most credible?
Also, if I were to just focus my efforts on obtaining certificates as opposed to a Master’s degree, how credible would this be and how would it impact potential employers?
What path would you all recommend? Thanks in advance!
