Getting NT4 on the internet

Hello,

I have a computer running NT4 Server, SP6 (Called ‘TEST’), which is connected to an internal domain. I want to connect this computer to the internet via a ADSL connection, I can’t figure out how to do it.

I have set up the network cardthe same as I did for a standalnone Win98 computer but still no joy. I set it up with Wins disabled and a specific DNS Number as provided by our DSL provider.

My over all goal is to provide VPN access to workers at home, but for now I will settle for the NT4 computer to go on the internet so I know it is connected to it.

Can anyone tell me how I can do this, Proxy servers seem popular but I don’t really understand what it is and if/why I would need it.
