    Getting winzip out of the systray

    Does anyone know how to get the winzip icon out of the system tray on Win2k/WinXP? Thx to all

      system tray – i assume you’re talking about the icons next to the system time… you should be able to right click on it and select delete. if that doesn’t work, check your start menu.. last thing to check is running msconfig in winxp and unchecking winzip on startup.. under win2k, it would be checking the services tab under admin.

        Thanx for the speedy response, Its my fault for not being more specific, I was looking for somethng in the registry, reason being, we are rolling an AOT that has already been built., but thank you anyway!

      It could be in a few different places in the Registry. Start looking here:
      HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

      If you see Winamp there, just delete the entry.
