Gettting screen out from Notebook

I had a server and doesn't have monitor attached to which now i need to view the output, can i connect to my notebook to get the display out, I have the LCD cable.

Normally with Servers you log onto them remotely and use another workstation to view the unit and how it is working. Instead of using a LCD connector which I don't think you can mange with a NB you should be ale to just connect to the network and log onto the server with the Remote Assistance option and work away quite happily that way. If it's not currently connection to the Network you can always steal a monitor temporally to see what is going on and when you have finished return the monitor to wherever you picked it up from. Generally speaking NB's have a different video connection for their monitors to a conventional LCD/TFT monitor.

Check with your local computer supplier and you might find a small box that will convert the
VGA output to video and a small TV (my eyesight
won't let me go smaller than 5 inch but a buddy
uses a 2inch LCD-TV) TV with video inputs and
your portable and small
