Ghost 7.5 can’t see USB DVD

Hi,

I use CDs for my remote site to image PCs. I would like to start using DVDs since I ca get one or two images on one DVD. I purchased a USB DVD external drive but once I boot to DOS with a 98 boot disk and then run the Ghost.exe from another disk I can’t see the DVD drive using Ghost 7.5. Symantech states support for DVD+-is only with version 8.0 and up. Does anyone know a way around this or should I just puchase the newest version of Ghost.
