Ghost and NIC cards

I have 2 DELL 1650 rack servers with on-board built in NIC cards. My consultant says we cannot use ghost to image their hard drives accross the network with built in NIC and I have to purchase PCI NIC cards to be able to boot to them. Any thoughts?
