ghost client can’t find ghost cast server?

by a_do12 . Updated 14 years, 2 months ago

I am trying to ghost a pc using ghost 8 multicast method. I had successfully use multicast on several PC. However I have a problem with 1 pc that drive me nuts.

The problem occurs as follows.
I insert the ghost boot disk into the client pc.
ghost disk boot up successfully in client pc with multicast option.

I start ghost server and enter in session name as “restore”. I browse to the location of ghost image on ghost server.

I enter the IP address of ghost cast server and session name into the client PC and click ok. The ghost client PC doesn’t detect the ghost server.

I click on accept client on ghost server. ghost server is ready but it doesn’t detect the ghost client PC.
The ghosting is done through a netgear hub.

Why can’t the ghost client pc detect the ghost cast server ?

I am really stump on this problem. I double check network connection on the hub and all the cables have green lights indicating they have signals.

Please help.
