Ghost Compatibility

Help!
I have Ghost version 11 boot disks, but I have Ghost version 8 on the server, is this compatible? I would like to send the image of a Dell laptop using the Ghost 11 boot disks to the server with Ghost version 8 for future use with other Dell laptops.
