Ghost Multicast with a VIA VT6103 – Can’t Find Driver

by link470 . Updated 18 years, 10 months ago

I’ve been looking for a couple days now for an NDIS driver to use in a Ghost Multicast boot disk for imaging a new set of computers I just put together for a computer lab. The boards are ASRock boards with an onboard VIA VT6103 ethernet jack.

I went to the website for VIA and was able to find the drivers for everything but the one I need [isn’t that always the way 😛 ].

I tried downloading the VT6102 to see if that would work, but the disk doesn’t run properly with that driver. It needs an NDIS driver for that integrated NIC. I can always just take 538TX’s from D-Link which everyone always seems to have kicking around and use those just for multicasting, but if possible I’d like to find a way to make a disk. If anyone knows where I might be able to get a really nice universal one or a copy of that driver that would be great. In the mean time, I’ll keep building the machines and if I have to, use 538TX’s.

Thanks!
