I’ve looked on TR?s forums, I’ve Googled til my eyes are batty, I’ve searched Toshiba’s site (lousy tech support site), I’ve searched Norton/Symantec’s site …found nothing on this.
I’ve been trying to Ghost some Toshiba Tecra M3’s (6 of ’em). The dump is not an issue, the imaging is. For whatever reason, I cannot image these laptops. I’ve looked in the CMOS for anything that might be hindering me. I try, the imaging appears to run normally and completes (~40 min.)(I’ve tried several cmd line sw’s during this foray, nothing seems to matter). Reboot the LT and the orig image is still there. I’ve gone as far as FDISKing and WIPING ALL partitions (incl?g Toshi?s svc part)using the WinXP setup CD. I restart the LT and sure enuf WinXP launches and loads like nothing happened, all the orig apps and user docs are still there. I del the parts. again. Start the image process again, it appears to run normally and completes. Reboot the LT and the orig image is still there laughing at me!
Any takers on whats going on, or what I might not be doing?
