Ghosting (v8) with fiber nics

by njaneardude-30601088 . Updated 19 years, 11 months ago

Greetings,

I have been trying to create a standalone Ghost network. I scraped up a Cisco 2900XL 100BaseFL ports a Ghsot server and my Ghost client.
My server has a 3COM3C905B-FX, no problems there.
Client has a RTL8129 Chipset Fiber NIC. Created a Ghost boot floppy with static IP. The drivers load, line speed 100MB Full. I can PING from server to client, but it all ends there. Have tried to establish Ghost sessions via Multi, Direct and Unicast, can’t establish Ghost session. I can’t imagine its the switch blocking the broadcast, I reset the switch to factory defaults hoping for any difference. Any suggestions?
