My customer is a global utilities company engaged in the business of transmission & distribution of gas & electricity. He is looking for a flexible global services model to support the global operations of his business. Though the business of my client is the same wherever he has the presence currently, but the business processes being followed differ from one another, at all locations.
Suppose, a requirement comes up for a change in a business process from his business group operating in say US; being a global organization, logically he expects the same would be applicable in other areas of his operations say Europe, UK, Australia, etc also. So, when an IT solution is required to be developed for such a requirement, then a team of IT professionals will be required who will capture the exact & agreeable business & technical requirements from all the territories, analyze them, develop the business process model, develop the application, test it & give the support to application for desired time frame, not only meeting but exceeding the expectations of all business users across all territories.
I am looking for a flexible global services model, which I would like to implement at my place, for meeting highly dynamic requirements such as mentioned above.
I hope the above description has sufficiently explained what I am looking at. Can anyone suggest me such an engagement model / framework which will fulfill my requirement? Or at least suggest the source from where I can get some inputs?
