After a long career in IT development and management, it has become obvious to me that most people inherently believe in trying to solve problems either by adopting best practices which is being 'Good', by being execution oriented (solving the problem the best I can based on the situation of resources, time and budgets - 'the 'Ugly' way) and few solve it without understanding the depth or nature of the problem leading to 'Bad' solutions.

In all cases the intentions are noble, doing one's job but lead to different consequences and results. Through this blog, i want to understand how IT departments move from one end of the spectrum to the other or whether they ever do.

If you're asking for technical help, please be sure to include all your system info, including operating system, model number, and any other specifics related to the problem. Also please exercise your best judgment when posting in the forums--revealing personal information such as your e-mail address, telephone number, and address is not recommended.
