Good place to hang in Atlanta

By faradhi ·

I will be going to Atlanta for some training.

Anyone know of a good place to hang out in the evenings? I hate sitting in hotel rooms.

I think I am going to a NHL game tuesday. I will be there from Monday leaving friday.

Here In Atlanta

by Michael Jay In reply to Good place to hang in Atl ...

you can get just about anything you want. That said and having lived in Atlanta for the past 29 years I must say that I really do not know where the hangouts are anymore, been married for the past 20+ years and my hangout is home.
There are some others from TR who also call Atlanta home and hopefully they know more than I about what to do for nitelife, but you might checkout this listing from a simple google search:

Best to you

Where will you be?

Downtown? Buckhead? Northeast? Do you know?

I'm not that familiar with the rest of Altanta, but if you are going to be in the Northlake area, try the Blue Ribbon Grill. Nice atmosphere, excellent food, great prices, and within crawling distance of the Holiday Inn Northlake. But I vaguely remember that they close fairly early (10 or 11)

I will look that up and see where it is compared to where I will be. The class in in the perimeter center. Where ever that is.

Perimeter Center

by NickNielsen In reply to Thanks Nick.

The Perimeter center is located in Dunwoody on the north of Atlanta, just outside I-285. The Blue Ribbon is about 11 miles away in Tucker. You probably won't want to play there and face the drive back to your hotel.

Depending on your hotel, you'll be fairly close to the Perimeter Mall and the associated restaurant row. (I know there's an Applebee's.) Maybe one of those will suit you. Best of luck with it.
