Good program to import / link DBF files?

Anyone has any recomendations on where can i get an utility to open & link a few .DBF (FoxPro) files to one place and then treat it like a RDBMS so that i can write sql queries like INNER JOIN to obtain the records i want? for eg, MS Access. However, i can’t seem to import/link any DBF into my Access2k (Error: External Data Is Not In Expected Format). someone told me it’s because of the problem of Win2k SP4 in my pc.

You can write sql queries to foxpro database, if u have Visual data manager that comes with VB6.0. The open database gives you option for the foxpro version.

Also “Get External Data” in the file menu in Access can lead you to import the data from your foxpro table of any version. I hope I have answered your question

I have to do something similar to what you want to do. We (the company I work for) use an Access Control package that was designed for general businesses and uses DBF tables, however we required much more so using VB6 and (get this) an intrinsic DAO data control. Yep I use this control to create a temporary table or tables in access and when the app ends I just delete the records when the app re-starts it loads the data from the DBF table(s) back into the access table(s) this means your splash screen is actually doing something. drop me a note if you want some sample code.
