Good scanner for under $1000

Hello all,

We are a law frim looking to go paperless. We are trying to find a decent model of a scanner that we can use that will allow us to scan muliple shape and sized documents. We currently have a fujitsu scansnap fi-5110c and it just doesn’t get the job done correctly. We get jams all the time, it can’t accept multiple sized documents (eg. letter size and certified mail cards) at the same time. And it’s also fairly slow at times. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. We intend to purchase a bunch of these after we find the one we like. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I hate to say ‘you get what you pay for’ but…..

Your current scanner is considered a lower speed (15 PPM) color workgroup scanner that, as you know, cannot do flatbed and sheetfeed.

I bet you would be a lot better off with something like a RicohIS330, but that’s closer to $2400.

vendors attending aiim seminars sell scanners, as they concentrated on rec mgmt – ecm, erm, bpm, etc.
