The only issue I know of is if the host PC is legacy as in it does not have a EUFI BIOS.
Small world that it is I did try my GTX 1660 in my HP 4999t and sure enough it doesn’t work at all there. The card works fine in all other PCs tested that have the required EUFI BIOS.
OK what cards work in old machines? Look to the Nividia 10×0 line such as 1030, 1050, 1060, 1070 and 1080 (Ti, Super, Nitro or plain.) Yes I know these can be hard to source but those models and others don’t demand the UEFI BIOS.
