Use the Microsoft Knowledgebsse article Q308514

The other option would be to try using a W2K driver

I don't recall if they had any XP drivers posted for the VooDoo 1, but www.voodoofiles.com has a number of drivers for 3dfx cards, and links to 3rd party drivers.

There are a number of people who have written XP drivers for some of the Voodoo chipsets.

Alternately, add a new video card into your upgrade costs.
I have seen ATI Radeon and TNT2M64 based cards for under $30, and a few GeForce 2 MX200 cards for under $40.

I've really got to read through the entire question more often.

None of the XP drivers for the 3dfx chips are going to be digitally signed.
The people writing them do not have the resources, or inclination to go through the process.

Start by following the links from VooDooFiles to some of the driver writers home pages.

A couple of them are still activly supporting their driver. And a few have patches that are not on VooDooFiles site.

Alternate resources include:
http://www.3dfxliveson.com/

I see that the x3dfx web site does NOT have a XP or W2K driver for the VooDoo 1.
