My director is going to be putting me in sole support for our Finance and Accounting department which is using Great Plains. The last support person left and wasn’t really an MIS person to start with. In fact, 90% of the support came from a consultant. Not to go into any of the politics about it, we will not be using the services of an outside consultant to support the department and system. We will, however, have said consultant teach me as much as she possibly can in a 6 month time frame (3 days a week for about 6 months). I can still call on the consultant to assist with any problems that I can’t resolve. In the mean time, I am looking to see if there are any User Support Groups for Great Plains. TIA!
