green moniter screen

I am getting a green screen on a moniter that is running over a cat5 cable using a vga to cat5 balun. What could be causeing this?

Interference? Bad VGA cable? Bad VGA->CAT5 converter?

Could it be the wires in the cat5 in wrong location in keystone jack?

Sure, but first I would figure out what the pinout is....

Since the display is RGB, you've lost the R and the B signals, but your G is good.

Look for the words "made in China" on your convertor box....if your cabling did not change, and your monitor and cable is good, then your convertor box has failed.

The convertors are brand new just installed 2-2-08. I had to wire the jacks. I tried a LG tv using the pc input on the same wire and it worked fine.

If a pair were reversed or open it may cause funky things. Best bet is to test the cable with a cable tester to see if it is a straight through network cable.
