Green Screen and Screen Flickers On And Off

Hello

I have a laptop with broken screen, so i use a monitor connected using VGA cable

I have recently been getting a green screen on the monitor and Flickering on And off. I would be very grateful for a fix or any advice to eliminate the problem.

  Plug in another monitor and see if it’s the same. If it is then whatever generates the Video in the NB is faulty and needs replacing which in all likelihood means a new M’Board depending on the model of NB.
  
  Of course if it works fine then the problem was with the old monitor.
