Go to www.nonags.com

There are links to free-ware programs for both pop-up stoppers and time synchronization.

In the US, you can download a time synchronization utility from www.nist.gov

LOL Chas you ever get the feeling people ask questions just so they can reject the answer regardless of whether the answer is a good one or not?

Spybot search and destroy is a good program not only for popups but for spyware. Another one is spywareblaster.

AND as Chas said, you can download a utility for sync'ing your computer time with national time service servers. the National Institue of Standards and Technology, Time and Frequency Division [Physics lab] has a list time time software see link http://www.boulder.nist.gov/timefreq/general/softwarelist.htm

you download one of these puppies from the list, install it and the software program will update, as required, your computer time with NIST Internet Time Servers. Windows XP Pro has a nifty built in program for doing this. Right click the time/date in the lower right task bar, click adjust date & time, click the internet time tab. Check the box, "automatically sync with a internet time server. You'll see "server" and a radio button for a pull down menu, from the pull down menu choose the server time.nist.gov then click update now.
