I got the error message regarding Java VM error with a PowerBook G4 running OS 9.1.
I reinstalled the GRIC Mac Dialer and installed the Java VM into the Mac but
it still doesn’t work. The error (“GRIC could not create Java runtime
environment please make sure the java vm is in the same folder in GRIC”) is
still the same. I tried copy the VM files into the same folder as the GRIC
and it still does not work. I tried it on an iMac and it works fine (OS
8.6). Does any special scripting function needs to be turned on, on the Mac
for it to work? What are the requirements for GRIC to work on a Mac?
* I noticed that during the installation of the software it says Power
Macintosh, so I assumed that it is of the right copy since it has the OS
version on your web site to indicate that it is correct. *
Does anyone still have the older version of GRIC. Could you advise what are the critical Java files need to be
placed into the same GRIC folder in order for the program to run?
